The Men of League Foundation's Southern Sydney chapter will host a luncheon next month to pay tribute to the clashes between local rivals Cronulla and the Dragons.
The 'Derbies through the Decades' function will be held at Sharkies Leagues Club on May 17.
The three-course lunch costs $130 per person, which includes all food and drink, and will raise money for the foundation. There will also be a number of raffles and auction prizes.
Players from Cronulla, St George and St George Illawarra who played in some of their most memorable derby clashes in 1969, 1979, 1989 and 1999 will be attendance.
The 1999 preliminary final between the Sharks and Dragons was one of the most memorable in the rivalry. St George Illawarra downed minor premiers Cronulla 24-8 after the Sharks had enjoyed a week off, with the Dragons going on to lose a thrilling grand final to Melbourne.
