Plans for the Bexley North train station accessibility upgrade have been approved, with early construction works due to start in the second half of 2019.
Parliamentary Secretary for Transport and Roads Eleni Petinos said approval followed community consultation earlier this year.
The upgrade will include:
- A new lift and upgraded station entrance.
- A new family accessible toilet.
- An upgrade of the commuter car park, including two new accessible spaces.
- A pedestrian access ramp.
"I would like to thank everyone who took the time to provide feedback during the early planning stages," Ms Petinos said.
"Feedback from the community has been reviewed and responded to in a Determination Report which is available on the project website.
"We will continue to keep the community up-to-date as work progresses on this very important community project."
