Bestselling fiction author Natasha Lester will visit Cronulla on Friday, May 3, for an event at Anna's Shop Around the Corner.
Lester is a rising star in Australia, with both her newest novel The French Photographer and her previous novel The Paris Seamstress hitting the top 10 bestseller Australian fiction list.
The French Photographer is a story of courage, family and forgiveness inspired by the incredible true story of Lee Miller, Vogue model turned one of the first female war photojournalists, crossing a war-torn Europe from Italy to France.
Lester is known for writing dynastic fiction about strong women succeeding in a man's world in notably male dominated fields including obstetrics and journalism.
Originally a marketing executive for cosmetic company L'Oréal, managing the Maybelline brand, Lester said goodbye to the high-intensity cosmetic industry to study creative writing and pursue her lifelong dream of writing.
She completed a Master of Creative Arts as well as her first novel, What Is Left Over, After, which won the T.A.G. Hungerford Award for Fiction. Her second novel, If I Should Lose You, was published in 2012, followed by A Kiss from Mr Fitzgerald in 2016, Her Mother's Secret in 2017 and the Top 10 Australian bestseller The Paris Seamstress in 2018.
