Making coding fun: Kids are a Code Camp workshop.
There has been a signficant increase in the number of girls wanting to learn how to code.
Code Camps, which are held during school holidays, aim to make coding fun and collaborative, while teaching children valuable numeracy skills for the future and into STEM-related careers.
In the latest intake into the coding program workshops, female pupils made up a record 45 per cent of enrolments - a jump from 30 per cent this time last year.
There has also been a large intake of parents using the NSW government's new Creative Kids Rebate to subsidise the cost of Code Camp.
