RE the article ''Beverly Hills to step up: $6 million tourist high-rise hotel plan for restaurant strip'' (Leader, April 24).
This whole street has so much potential, it needs a huge makeover and PARKING.
Simon Anthony
Great idea. Motel accommodation is seriously lacking in the whole district.
Trish Welsh
Tourist hotel? What do they think it is? Beverly Hills, California?
Peter Tzavaras
I'd be happier if they brought back the old Pizza Hut.
Jason Gatt
What a silly decision for the residents of Beverly Hills. Desperately need a carpark and that whole strip needs a makeover and some decent restaurants!!! What a shame and waste of space.
Emily Saad Ieraci
I'd be using that $6 mil to give the whole strip a facelift before building a 61 room hotel.
James Ozz Ossington
Perhaps use some of that money and eradicate the massive rat and cockroach infestation along that strip. The sewerage tunnel canal is right beside this proposed 'hotel' and the rats and cockies looove running a muck inside the restaurant kitchens, all the way to where Pancakes on the Rocks is. All the restaurant owners know what I'm talking about.
Mark Gonzalez
I only see it as a hub for tinder dates.
Nick Blackley
Bring back the Rhiendorf!
Shannon Heaney
Great idea, Sydney has a shortage of temporary accommodation especially in the suburbs.
Nicky Kritikos
The council couldn't take this application seriously.
Chris Hoycard
Well Greater Union will be happy! When we went to the flicks last week we were the only ones there!
Kris Tine
They tried to do it at Bexley North now they are trying it there! Omg who is going to use those hotels?
Jacqui Pyke
And rename King Georges Rd Sunset Boulevard, mainly cos you can't see a thing heading west at 5pm but it doesn't matter cos you're not moving.
Ryan McCue
Put in a decent car park and watch the strip revive, even without a massive makeover. What a wasted opportunity.
