Marrickville Town Hall was where it all began for Dorothy and John Loughlin.
They met at a dance called Strollers, a popular event where Mr Loughlin's parents coincidentally had also met.
It turned into the dance of long-lasting love, as the couple married at Penshurst.
This month on May 30, they celebrate 60 years of marriage.
Mr Loughlin worked in marketing and his wife was devoted to family life.
Together they raised four children and now live at Illawong. They have 10 grandchildren.
Both enjoy being very active, and they love to travel and listen to music. They are still regular dancers at several clubs through south western Sydney.
