Crossroads, a celebration of the Music of Eric Clapton will perform at the South Hurstville RSL on May 25.
Clapton is the only three-time inductee into the Rock 'n Roll hall of Fame, has received 17 Grammy awards and has been referred to as one of the most important and influential guitarists of all time.
To celebrate Eric Clapton's 50-year career as a professional musician and recording artist, Crossroads retraces and reproduces a collection of Eric Clapton's well known songs and covers made famous by this iconic guitar legend.
The show draws from his early years with John Mayall's Blues Breakers, Cream and Blind Faith and follows his solo career that continues today as strong as ever.
As a solo artist, Clapton continues to reinvent himself experimenting with many musical genres from reggae to country but always maintaining one foot firmly in the blues.
The Crossroads Eric Clapton tribute showcases the accomplished blues/rock guitarist Grahame Elsley from the award nominated "Muddyfeet" and "The Black Spurs" show band. He delivers Clapton soulful guitar licks and soaring improvised guitar solos in the unmistakeable Clapton style and tone.
He is accompanied by the talented Jen Edwards (keys/vocals), Ric Bailey (guitar/vocals), Peter Skaroupka (Bass/vocals), Andrew Robson (drums/vocals) and Bill Ferguson (Hammond Organ).
- 9pm start, free entry.
