Sans Souci dog owner Sandra Maric loves going places with her buddy Carlos. But she discovered she couldn't actually go many places with him.
So she had a plan - help other people find pup welcoming venues in St George and Sutherland Shire.
Ms Maric runs dogfriendlynsw, a social hub of her reviews and recommendations of dog-friendly cafes, restaurants, bars, parks, beaches, outdoor cinemas, places of accommodation, and bushwalking areas.
More than 4000 people follow her canine adventures on Facebook alone.
"I got my Carlos two years ago and he quickly became my best friend," she said. "I wanted to take him everywhere but I found it hard trying to work out where he could and couldn't go.
"It's becoming increasingly popular to allow dogs indoors and I have developed my social media pages for convenience and for dog owners to jump on and have a look at places they can go to with their best friend.
"There are lost of dog friendly places out there and I didn't want to leave my dog at home so I started this page in an effort to advertise dog friendly businesses.
"I have received lots of great feedback as it's become increasingly popular and accepted to bring your dog with you wherever you go," Ms Maric said.
"People are really loving the options and it's allowing more businesses to open up their doors to dogs.
"All the followers love the idea of the page as it gives them great ideas on where to go to with their dogs. I haven't had any negative feedback."
