From the classroom to the streets of Sydney's CBD, Endeavour Sports High School principal James Kozlowski was a step ahead in his fundraising goals for a cause close to his heart this month.
The school leader pounded the pavement in the annual SMH Half Marathon on May 19.
He ran to raise money for cystic fibrosis - a condition his niece, Aveline, three months of age, was diagnosed when she was six weeks old.
He successfully raised $12,784 so far, and was supported by donations from the school community.
May is cystic fibrosis awareness month.
