Menai Marketplace has signed up to be a major sponsor of Project Youth's Menai Skate Comp, to be held on June 8 at Parc Menai.
The competition is open to all skaters aged under 17 years of age. Participants will be competing to win more than $1000 in prizes.
Entrance categories include under 10's, under 13's, under 17's, girls and open comp.
Participants can register for the event on the day from midday for a 12.30pm start.
Centre manager Jacqui Bell says the competition celebrates the gathering of youth.
"It brings young people together and we're glad to be involved in supporting an event with such tangible benefit to the community," she said.
Pat Thoms from Project Youth says it is thrilled to back the event.
"Where we can, Project Youth is happy to support young people realise their ideas, such as this skate comp, which is a great event for local young people," he said.
"We've worked closely with local skater, Evan Natsis, to bring this event to life."
The comp is at 158/168 Menai Road, Menai
