With an eye for detail in fine blended form, a Heathcote High School student impressed the National Art School this year with her creative projects.
Year 11's Rachael Meldrum gained a place at the fine art school by completing an exceptional piece of work that demonstrated her outstanding skills in photoshop and digital photography.
Rachel will be completing a course at the school during the July and September school holidays. The course is designed to enhance technical, conceptual and intellectual skills under the direction of experienced, practising artists, through an intensive practical study program.
As Rachel completes her HSC studies, she will be able to apply her knowledge to maximise her results in the classroom in her visual arts subject.
An added bonus for Rachael is the inclusion of her National Art School results being recorded on her HSC transcript in 2020.
