He is on day 97 of a mammoth feat to run across the nation, pushing a buggy weighing up to 100 kilograms carrying food, water and equipment.
Andre Jones this week passed through Sutherland Shire on day 23 of his adventure as part of his epic Run Around Australia.
On June 17 he will run from Ravenshoe to Mount Garnet in North Queensland on what will be his 100th day on the road since departing the MCG on March 10.
By then he will have covered almost 4000 kilometres of the 15,000-plus kilometre run.
The Melbourne runner, 57, is hoping to become the first person in history to achieve the mission unassisted by a support vehicle.
Mr Jones is raising money for four charities - GO Foundation, beyondblue, Royal Flying Doctors and The Smith Family.
The retired Royal Australian Navy veteran previously ran solo from Melbourne to Darwin in 2017.
