Two men have been charged after breaking into Kareela Golf Club earlier this week.
Just after 3.30am on Monday, June 10, Sutherland Police were called to the club on Bates Drive after several alarms were activated.
Police will allege upon arrival, a 32-year-old man was seen in the reception area and arrested after a short foot pursuit.
A second man, 28, was arrested a short time later nearby on The Esplanade, Kareela.
Police located and seized more than $8000, more than 100 packets of cigarettes and lighters.
Both men were taken to Sutherland Police Station where the 32-year-old was charged with aggravated break and enter committing a serious indictable offence, committing an offence while having a previous conviction, possessing housebreaking implements, and an outstanding warrant.
The 28-year-old was charged with aggravated break and enter committing a serious indictable offence, committing offence having a previous conviction and common assault.
They were refused bail and appeared in Sutherland Local Court on June 11. They were formally refused bail to reappear in the same court on August 6.
