Tax Essentials for Small Business will be the subject of a free workshop run by ATO staff to be held at Rockdale Library next month.
Aimed at someone who has recently started or is thinking of starting a business, the free workshop will look at a number of issues including business structures and their different rules, tax rates and obligations.
Other topics covered will include tax and non-tax business registrations; allowable deductions, including motor vehicle deductions, depreciation and home-based business expenses; annual and quarterly reporting requirements; record keeping principles; and where to go for help and information when you need it.
Participants will be shown online tools and resources and will be given a chance questions.
The workshop is supported by Bayside Council and is described as a great opportunity to network.
It will be held at Rockdale Library on Monday, July 8 from 5.30pm to 7pm.
