The search is on for local artisans to contribute their work at a festival of art and design to be held at Sans Souci later this year.
Applications are now open for local artists and designers to participate in the Love Local Artisan Market to be held at Sans Souci in spring.
The market is described as a community event celebrating the creative talent of the makers and creators from the St George area.
The Love Local Artisan Market will be held at Claydon Reserve, Ramsgate Road, Sans Souci on Saturday, October 12.
Described as a first of its kind for the St George area, the market is being organised by local artist Sarah Kalidis from Studio OneThirty of Carss Park.
"We are all about engaging and connecting the community, encouraging locals to rediscover artisans, trades and businesses in our neighbourhood," Sarah said.
"Applications to artists, designers and makers are open to all residents of Sydney, however preference will be given to those living in the St George area or those who have a connection to our local community," she said.
"Being an artisan market, we are looking for locally designed with a key focus on locally crafted.
"We aim to set a high standard of stall holders and products, and will be considering all aspects of artisans work including their story, aesthetic, branding and production methods.
"We also want to hear from businesses that may provide art or design related trades and services; our local community needs to know about you.
"Successful applicants will be chosen based on a variety of factors.
"In addition to brands selling their products on the day, we are on the lookout for installation artists who might like to produce interactive art for our visitors.
"Please get in touch if this is you or someone you know."
The event is supported by Georges River Council.
