Is your smartphone out-smarting you?
Learn how to take control of your device with an upcoming smartphone helpdesk for seniors, that is being held in Sutherland Shire this month.
Seniors will have the opportunity to ask questions and learn the basics of using a smartphone to catch up on the news, check the weather, download free and safe apps, share photos and keep in touch with family and friends in the digital age.
The program aims to tackle lonliness and social isolation by partnering with community organisations, and is supported by Sutherland Shire Council, BeConnected Community Services, Gymea Community Aid and Information Service, Kurranulla Aboriginal Corporation, 3Bridges Community, Engadine Community Services and Carer Support Services.
Volunteers and an e-librarian will help on the day, and you can grab a free cappucino or latte.
The session is from 10am-3pm on June 27 at Engadine Community Centre, 1034-1036 Old Princes Hwy, Engadine.
