Local businesses have the chance to partner with Georges River Council by taking up major sponsor rights in its key events of the year.
The council has just released its Major Events Sponsorship Prospectus and Georges River Council Mayor Kevin Greene said the council's events team has received unprecedented interest from both previous sponsors and new businesses.
"I strongly encourage businesses across the Georges River area and beyond to seize the opportunity to form a positive partnership with Council," Councillor Greene said.
"We've just released our latest Major Events Sponsorship Prospectus, which offers a range of packages that offer something for every budget.
"The popularity of Council's major events, which include the Councillors' Charity Ball, Magic of Christmas in Carss Bush Park, Australia Day Festival, Lunar New Year Festival, Starlight Cinema and the Night Market Series, continues to grow from year to year.
"Overall, Council's annual calendar of events attracts nearly 250,000 people, with 22 per cent of those attending coming from outside the local government area.
"Partnering with Council provides an opportunity for businesses to demonstrate community goodwill, and to increase both their media and brand exposure.
"The majority of visitors to Council's major events are aged between 25-54, providing businesses with a captive audience to engage and connect with.
"We strongly encourage businesses to think outside the box, and our Events staff also offer sponsor workshops to help design a unique and targeted partnership package," Cr Greene said.
The Major Events Sponsorship Prospectus is available to view and download on the council's website, or businesses can phone to request a hard copy version.
