Eight Cronulla employees have a million reasons to smile after their syndicate scored division one in last night's Wednesday Lotto draw.
The private syndicate held one of the three division one winning entries nationally in Monday and Wednesday Lotto draw 3885, drawn July 11.
Each entry took home the guaranteed division one prize of $1 million.
The syndicate leader said she was excited to break the news to her fellow syndicate members so they could begin dreaming about how they would each spend their share of their prize.
The winners, who wish to remain anonymous, purchased their QuickPick entry at Cronulla Paper Shop, 109 Cronulla Street, Cronulla.
"We've had this syndicate running for probably three or four years. We buy an entry every fortnight. It's miles more than what we ever thought we'd win," the winner said.
"It's really going to make everyone's day. I'm just thinking about how I am going to tell them all. This is just lovely."
When asked how they planned to use their prize, the winner said the prize would be put to good use.
"I think there will be lots of holidays and paying off home loans and things like that," the winner said. "We will all need to sit down and have a think about it. We will probably go out for a lovely dinner and have some drinks."
It has been a lucky week for the shire, with another winner nabbing a tidy sum.
A Gymea man won a $127,000 Keno prize, on July 11.
His purchased his entry at Sutherland District Trade Union, Gymea..
