More than 40 community infrastructure projects in Sutherland Shire have been proposed for state government funding, with residents to vote on which get the cash.
Voting has opened for the first My Community Project through Service NSW online or by visiting the centre in Kiora Road, Miranda.
Projects nominated by Sutherland Shire Council include new undercover picnic facilities at Don Lucas Reserve, Wanda and a $200,000 purpose-built exercise park for seniors at Cooper Street Reserve, Engadine.
Other proposals have flowed in from school P&Cs, sports clubs, community groups and churches. A selection is included in the photo gallery above.
A maximum of $260,000 is available to each electorate, which won't go anywhere near meeting the collective wish list.
Details of the proposed projects in the Cronulla, Miranda and Heathcote electorates can be viewed on the Service NSW website.
Residents need a MyServiceNSW Account to vote for their top three to five projects.
