Update
The community will be consulted before a proposed right-turn ban is implemented at the Woolooware intersection where Gai Vieira was seriously injured.
Mrs Vieira was turning right from Connels Road into Kingsway towards Cronulla on September 5, 2018, when her Mercedes was hit by a police highway patrol car.

In July this year, Sutherland Shire Council endorsed a staff recommendation motorists be banned from making such a turn.
However, the "in principle" decision still requires formal approval from Roads and Maritime Services (RMS).
A council spokeswoman said the RMS approval process required the council to carry out further investigations.
"This involves development of a Traffic Management Plan, which includes community consultation, as well as estimated traffic reassignment and identification of potential effects on the state-road network and emergency services," the spokeswoman said.
The proposed changes then need to be endorsed by the council's Traffic Committee and approved for implementation through a council resolution.
"We will soon be proceeding with community consultation."
Meanwhile, new traffic lights at the nearby intersection of Kingsway and Woolooware Road could be operating within a few weeks.
"Work is well underway and expected to be complete by the end of the month, weather permitting," a spokesman for RMS said.
"Following consultation with the community on the final design, analysis of crash data and essential work on complex underground and overhead utilities, on-site work including the installation of traffic light poles and improved pedestrian footpaths started in September."
The new traffic lights, adjoining Woolooware Oval, were announced late last year following community calls in the aftermath of Mrs Vieira's accident.

A ban will be imposed on north-bound traffic turning right at the Cronulla intersection where Gai Vieira was critically injured.
Sutherland Shire Council unanimously endorsed the recommendation of staff and the traffic committee.
The proposal generated strong debate when it was revealed in the Leader, with opinion appearing to be evenly divided.

Sutherland Shire Council staff, who reviewed traffic and accident data for the intersection, recommended the ban, describing the change as "reasonable".
The council has been liaising with Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) on traffic safety in the area following the accident.
A decision on the Connels Road intersection was left to the council.
