Minister for Disabilities Gareth Ward opened The Disability Trust Club in Canterbury earlier this month.
During his visit Mr Ward was impressed by Trust client Jerome, who gave a great speech about the confidence he has gained from working with the Trust and how it drives him to study and find employment.
"Jerome is a great example of how the Disability Trust isn't raising the floor - they are removing the roof and encouraging everyone with a disability to reach their full potential," Mr Ward said.
The Disability Trust is passionate about both the community and disability industries, and is a leader in providing NDIS and DES services throughout NSW.
Supporting more than 4000 clients with around 1600 permanent and casual staff, The Disability Trust is dedicated to providing exceptional support and programs that cover a wide range of services.
With an expandable resource network and access to highly trained professionals, The Disability Trust Canterbury is able to offer individuals the ability to tailor their NDIS plan to their needs.
The new space at Canterbury will offer high quality support in a professional and engaging way. Options include supported independent living, accommodation support, sport and recreational activities, clinical services, support co-ordination and travel and holiday planning, in addition to life skills and professional development.
As part of the new facility, The Disability Trust will also run the Club Trust Program, providing services with a particular emphasis on youth and young adult development and wellbeing.

Senior manager Rhian Preston said they were excited to finally be a part of the Canterbury community.
"Our major focus and goal for this office is to bring forward a new and refreshing way to approach the NDIS programming," Ms Preston said.
"We are committed to ensuring both our clients and their families are using their NDIS funding with an organisation that really prides itself on its relationship and engagement with the community.
"We have set out to give our clients the opportunity to live life the best way possible and in a way that they choose. We have different programs tailored to personal needs and interests.
"We also wanted to give young people an option when undertaking NDIS support and guidance, as well as assisting them in navigating government packages.
"The Disability Trust stands by its values of integrity, respect and trust, so you can be sure the services we provide are high in quality and delivery," she said.
