Four-legged pups and hounds will go barking mad for a free community event being at Don Lucas Reserve, Cronulla this weekend, on Sunday, August 25.
Dogs in the Park NSW is hosting the Sutherland Shire leg of the showcase, which is the first event of its kind in the area.
There will be dog demonstrations, rescue groups, racing, food stalls, a dog trick contest, and competitions for best-dressed and cutest puppy, among others.
A highlight will be the pug races - and organisers are hoping to smash the world record, with 120 pugs registered to enter the race.
Fat Pizza star Krissi Stanley is among the celebrity guests, alongside Sutherland mayor Carmelo Pesce.
There will be an opportunity to raise money for a dog-related charitable organisation such Various Doggie Rescue.
Organisers will also launch a petition on the day to encourage the council to create more dog-friendly off-leash parks.
