These awards are a great chance for small businesses to be recognised and appreciated for their hard work

Love what you do - and do it with your heart and with passion.
That's the secret of success, according to this year's Business of the Year winner at the Sutherland Shire Local Business Awards held last week.
Owner of The New Chambers Restaurant John Hatzikiriakos said they were "honoured and happy" to receive the award which was recognition for all their hard work.
"We have been here in Sutherland for close to 10 years and we love what we do," Mr Hatzikiriakos said.
"We have loyal and wonderful customers, even from our previous restaurant which was the Greek Islands Taverna in Earlwood.
"And we have great support within the community. When you love what you and you do it with your heart and with passion it shows."
Mr Hatzikiriakos said consistency and quality was the key when it came to their food and his staff all worked well as a team.
The restaurant has been taking part in the business awards since 2011 and has won the category of best family restaurant more than once. It also won Business of the Year in 2014.
Mr Hatzikiriakos said he would recommend the awards to any business in Sutherland thinking about taking part. "Go for it and good luck. Just to be nominated you are a winner."
