Bayside Council and the Bayside Bushcare Program will be hold a Trees for Dad planting on Sunday, August 18.
The free event is described as a perfect opportunity to get out as a family to plant a tree with your Dad or in remembrance of important males in your life.
The council will also be organising a Trees for Mum event around Mother Days in the future.
The Trees for Dad planting will be held at St Joseph Banks Park, Mascot.
Participants should meet at the Tupia Street car park at around 10am for a short walk with bushcare staff through the park to the planting area.
All tools, gloves, equipment, plants and morning tea is provided.
Bayside Council only has 50 large trees available so spots are limited.
