Transport for NSW has extended the consultation period for feedback on the planned closures for slope repair work on Lawrence Hargrave Drive at Stanwell Park next year to reduce the risk of land slips.
Heathcote MP Lee Evans says Transport for NSW has taken community feedback on board to increase the deadline for feedback on the planned closures.
"Submissions will be extended to 5pm, Friday, August 30, to allow for further feedback on the closure of Lawrence Hargrave Drive for this essential work," Mr Evans said.
"This project is essential however I am working closely with Minister Constance to explore other options. I have been listening to the community and closing the road completely is just not good enough. It would have significant negative impacts on residents."
