Protesting residents are on a roll, with Telstra abandoning a second mobile phone small cell installation proposal in Sutherland Shire in the space of a few weeks.
A spokeswoman for the telco said on Monday, "We will not be progressing with the small cell proposal at 81 Lilli Pilli Point Road, at this point in time".
"Over the coming months we will engage with relevant stakeholders, including the community on potential alternate solutions to meet the growing customer demand in the area," she said.
"We will keep the community and stakeholders updated on our progress.
In August, Telstra announced it would not proceed with a similar installation in Moonbi Place, Kareela.

Residents in both areas were supported by Sutherland Shire Council in fighting the proposals.
A meeting organised by Lilli Pilli residents in July was attended by about 120 people, including a number from other parts of Sydney, where there is also widespread community concern.
