Duvan Zapata has cannoned home a stoppage-time winner as Atalanta edged hosts Genoa 2-1 in a hot midday match in the Italian Serie A.
Zapata scored off the bar after home captain Domenico Criscito levelled from the spot earlier in stoppage time.
Substitute striker Luis Muriel had struck from the spot on 64 minutes after Zapata was brought down by his cousin, Cristian Zapata, for a penalty awarded after VAR review.
Atalanta boss Gian Piero Gasperini said Sunday's game was a hard-fought one.
"We found a nice Genoa team, but Atalanta were clever and we deserved victory," he said.
"Zapata's great goal restored a result in my opinion right."
The video assistant referee also helped judge a penalty converted by Lazio captain Ciro Immobile for the Rome side's first-half lead at SPAL, who bounced back for a last-gasp 2-1 win.
Andrea Petagna's drive levelled for the Ferrara hosts on 63 and Jasmin Kurtic's clinical shot clinched their victory two minutes into injury time.
Roma, the other side from the capital, beat visitors Sassuolo 4-2, going four up 33 minutes into the game at the Stadio Olimpico.
