Sydney Fringe Festival is bringing a mix of stand-up comedy performances to Hurstville throughout September.
From outdoor comedy in Hurstville Plaza and the battle of the best for the 2019 Comedian of the Year, to learning the secrets of French women from a mentalist and illusionist, Hurstville's comedy line-up will have the toughest of critics in stitches.
Georges River Council has partnered with the Sydney Fringe Festival for the first time and comedy lovers are in for a treat.
Laugh along as the city's best comedians compete to decide who's the best of the bunch. You'll also be able to make your top comedy pick, with a people's choice vote.
Acts kick off from September 19.
Standouts include Made in Paris at Hurstville Entertainment Centre (7pm, September 20), when audiences can expect a highly interactive one woman show with mentalist and illusionist Claire Yistelle, a Parisian and femme fatale, who reveals the real secrets of French women.
You will learn how to flirt, how to French kiss and how to find your best match. Expect a spectacular and sophisticated blend of comedy magic, mind-reading and influence full of French flavour. Cost is $35.
There's also outdoor comedy at Fringeville (Hurstville Plaza), September 20-22. It will bring an eclectic mix of free live comedy, theatre, live music, light installations, mouth-watering food stalls and a pop-up bar to the area.
The comedy line-up will complement additional Fringe Festival entertainment including a kids and families program.
