The South Village park at Kirrawee will open on Thursday, November 14, a year to the day from when the shopping centre opened.
An official opening ceremony of the park will be part of the centre's anniversary celebrations.
The park has been built by developer DeiCorp as part of a voluntary planning agreement with Sutherland Shire Council.
A circular bicycle path for young children and a playground catering for various ages are features of the park.

The playground being built in the new park at South Village, Kirrawee, will feature a range of attractions from hopskotch zones to half-court basketball and a flying fox.
The park is close to completion, but Sutherland Shire Council has not finalised an opening date, largely because of the wet weather.
It is expected the playground will be open to children and parents from early to mid October.
The grass area is likely to be be roped off to allow longer for the turf to settle. It is expected to be in use in early November.
A council spokeswoman said the play equipment would cater for a wide range of ages and abilities, from toddlers to teenagers.
"It includes a climbing structure, adventure play area, swings and slides, a flying fox, half-court basketball court, handball and hopscotch zones and fixed concrete table tennis tables," she said.
The park is being provided under a voluntary agreement (VPA) between the council and developer, which was agreed to when South Village was approved.
The VPA includes provision of a 9000 square metre public park, a 1500 square metre multi-purpose space within South Village and $250,000 for Oak Road roadworks.
The park, designed for older and younger children, will also include shaded picnic facilities, a pedestrian / cycle path, but no public toilets.
The council still has to decide whether to use the shopping centre space for community purposes, such as a library, or convert it into shops and use the rental income for other community purposes.
