Police have charged two men after they allegedly assaulted and kidnapped a man at Kirrawee earlier this year.
At about 10.30pm on July 16, a man, 30, drove to Belgium Street, Punchbowl, where he met with an associate.
After a short conversation, three other men approached the car and pulled the 30-year-old driver into the back seat.
The four alleged offenders drove the car to the man's house on Waratah Street, Kirrawee, where he was assaulted, and the house was ransacked.
The man managed to escape momentarily, before being caught and assaulted again.
The four men then left the scene soon after and police were notified.
Sutherland Police launched an investigation.
The man was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital for treatment to several injuries including bruising, fractures and a dislocated jaw that required surgery.
A man, 29, was arrested at about 2.30pm on September 10 on Broad Arrow Road, Riverwood, and taken to Kogarah Police Station.
He was charged with special aggravated kidnapping and was refused bail. He appeared before Sutherland Local Court the following day, when where he was granted conditional bail to reappear before Bankstown Local Court on November 6.
At about 8.10am on September 17, a second man, 30, went to Bankstown Police Station where he was arrested and charged with special aggravated kidnapping.
He was also refused bail and appeared at Bankstown Local Court the same day, where he was granted conditional bail to appear before the same court on November 6.
Police inquiries continue regarding the remaining two men involved in the incident, who are only described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern in appearance.
