A driver who wasn't even supposed to be behind the wheel has been charged after police also found drugs in his possession at Rockdale on Wednesday.
Shortly before 11am on September 18, St George Highway Patrol was conducting high visibility patrols in Rockdale.
Police spotted a red Ford Falcon with NSW number plates going south on the Princes Highway.
Checks revealed the car did not match its registration, and the driver, 34, of Carlton, was driving an unregistered vehicle.
His P1 licence had also been previously suspended, in August 30.
He tested positive to cannabis, methylamphetamine and cocaine. Police also found a substantial amount of suspected crystal methamphetamine and cannabis in his possession, plus a suspected stolen mobile phone and two cards that were not in his name.
He was taken Kogarah Police Station where he declined to be interviewed. He was charged with four counts of possessing a prohibited drug, two counts of possessing equipment to administer a prohibited drug, goods in custody, and driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle.
He was conditionally bailed to Sutherland Local Court on October 15.
