I have been reading with interest letters in the Leader relating to caravans, boat trailers etc being parked in our streets and left for long periods of time without being moved.
Gymea residents have for a very longtime endured the eyesore and traffic hazard of up to nine of these vehicles being parked on the side and the nature strip of Gymea Bay Road south of President Avenue. Many of the vehicles have not moved for months.
With the closure of the vacant land (owned by the RMS - F6 corridor) due to asbestos contamination, parking for commuters and shoppers alike has become a major concern for the local community with the vehicles in question taking up valuable parking space.
It is about time our authorities take action to clear our streets of such vehicles.
