Teresa Polias will return for her 10th season with Sydney FC as the Sky Blues announced their squad that will look to retain their W-League title this season.
The defending champions have 15 of their title-winning side on board again for the 2019-20 campaign, with Polias to again captain the club.
The St George product, Sydney FC's long serving skipper who has played in all 12 W-League seasons since its inception, is also the competition's record appearance maker.
Polias will lead another strong squad full of quality including Matildas' World Cup stars Caitlin Foord, Alanna Kennedy and Chloe Logarzo. US imports Sofia Huerta and Aubrey Bledsoe also return for their second and third seasons respectively.
Polias said she was excited to get going again.
"We had a great season last year but it's time to start again and I am looking forward to defending our championship," she said.
"We've got another very strong squad but it will be a tough challenge to go back to back so it's pleasing that a lot of our players have returned again.
"There's no better feeling for me than walking out in Sky Blue and I think this year's Westfield W-League is going to be the best and most exciting we've had. I can't wait to get going."
The 29-year-old midfielder is a Carss Park and Ramsgate junior from Brighton-Le-Sands, who led Sydney FC to the W-League title with a 4-2 win over Perth Glory in front of a record crowd at Jubilee Stadium, Kogarah in February.
Sky Blues head coach Ante Juric said he was delighted to have the majority of his 2018-19 title winning squad back again for the new season.
"A lot of our players will be a year older and a year wiser from their experience of winning the championship last season and to be able to maintain that consistency in the squad is fabulous," he said.
"We will be working hard in the next few weeks to prepare ourselves for the upcoming season and prepare for the challenge of winning the 2020 title."
Sydney FC will head to Wagga Wagga for a friendly against Newcastle Jets at McDonald's Park on November 3 in preparation for their title defence.
