He didn't know it at the time but one man's regular trip to get a few groceries ended up being the best day of his life.
After checking his Lotto ticket, he realised he had bagged division one - that's a tidy $400,000, in the Saturday draw on October 12.
He held one of the 10 division one winning entries nationally.
His will spend his lucking winnings on a trip to Europe with his wife, no doubt flying first class and staying in five-star luxury hotels.
He bought his ticket at Lucky 7 Burraneer Supermarket, 139 Woolooware Road.
"I think I am going to have to have a few drinks with my wife to celebrate," he said after his win.
"We will do the usual stuff with it though, pay off the bills and then we will have fun with the rest.
"My wife is madly in love with Italy and France...it's going to be fun planning what to do with it, that's for sure!"
Lucky 7 Burraneer Supermarket owner Charlie Xu says he has lots of lucky charms in store in the hope it brings luck to its customers.
"It seems they helped deliver a win to our customer," he said. "Now we are feeling even more lucky."
