Road advice challenged
Gavin ("Be more considerate", Your View, October 9) is correct in stating drivers need to be more observant and considerate but he us incorrect in regards to his knowledge of the law. In NSW, the road rules state that on multi-lane roads with a speed limit of more than 80km/h, motorists must not drive in the right-hand unless (amongst other restrictions) it is signposted otherwise, you are overtaking or driving in congested traffic. Perhaps Gavin also needs to be more considerate and observant and plan his trip to allow for delays. If a driver is in the righthand lane (legally) and travelling at 80km/h then Gavin obviously wishes to break the law by exceeding the speed limit.

Once bitten twice shy
I parked at Aldi at Wandella Road Miranda recently for an hour to shop - the carpark was quarter full. After leaving I found a notice under my wiper stating a $65 infringement for not having a sticker on my windscreen. I have parked there since it opened without this instruction! At least with Westfield you are charged a minimal amount if you exceed three hours but all residents should be made aware of this dash for cash. That was my last visit they will not get me again.
