Advance Diversity Services is hosting its annual Migrant Information Day on November 6.
The free community event aims to help new arrivals get information on the support and systems available in St George to assist them in their settlement journey.
More than 50 services and organisations are involved.
More than 600 residents and 50 stallholders are set to celebrate the day at Hurstville's Marana Auditorium and Civic Theatre from 10am-1pm.
Migrants will have the opportunity to gain information about health, government, education, community and CALD-specific services, to help them settle in their new home.
Participants can also get free hearing checks and learn vital knowledge from presentations by services including Multicultural HIV and Hepatitis Service, Surf Life Saving NSW, and Multicultural Problem Gambling Service for NSW.
This year's theme, 'Seeing, knowing, supporting', emphasises the day's role in helping migrants and refugees to realise they're not invisible or have no support.
"It's not just about sharing information," Community Development Worker at Advance Diversity Services, Jenny Tang, said.
"We want people to have fun and feel like they belong.
"To foster this festive spirit, we have wonderful dancers and singers lined up, henna tattooing, pedal-powered smoothies, kids' activities, and some great food."
Multilingual information will be available from government and non-government organisations, and bilingual workers will also be on hand to provide further language assistance.
"Gathering the many services available in one place to easily share information with newly arrived migrants and refugees is a fantastic way to welcome and support those settling in our community," Ms Tang said.
The 2019 St George Migrant Information Day showcases the cultural diversity of the region and is financially supported by a range of organisations including Disability Services Australia, Georges River Council, Kogarah Community Services, Multicultural New South Wales, Navitas English, NSW Health-South Eastern Sydney Local Health District and TAFE NSW.
