Sutherland Shire's under-9s boys representative team have been crowned national Oztag champions.
The Stingrays won the title at Coffs Harbour on Sunday. They played 10 games at the championships, winning eight with one defeat and a draw.
Sutherland won the final convincingly, downing West Sydney Tigercubs 9-2.
The Stingrays team is made up of players from the Cronulla, Kareela and Engadine-Heathcote Oztag competitions. The shire team took on representative sides from across Australia at the three-day championships.
Many of the squad also play rugby league at a number of clubs across the shire.
