In December O'Connors Pharmacy will celebrate 60 years of delivering caring and professional pharmaceutical services to the residents of Oatley.
The business was founded by the late Terry O'Connor and his wife Lorraine in 1959. Their son Tony O'Connor and his wife Gillian took over the reins in May 1998, although Tony has worked at the pharmacy ever since he was a small boy.
"This is a business where the people who own the store still run the store and we pride ourselves on providing consistently good service and advice at a reasonable cost," Mrs O'Connor said.
She said the business had continued to improve over the years, thanks to their hard work and dedication and by embracing advances in the industry.
O'Connor's Pharmacy offers a complete range of health and beauty products as well as professional pharmaceutical products and services.
"We pride ourselves on innovation and have recently added a private counselling and consultation area," Mrs O'Connor said.
"In addition to a full prescription service, we also provide detailed medicine advice and counselling and diabetes supplies through the NDSS," she said.

Other professional services include free blood pressure monitoring and disease state screening, an immunisation service, Medschecks, Diabetes MedsChecks, Home Medicines Review, and access to a medicine adherence program.
"Our staff are all exceptionally skilled and caring," Mrs O'Connor said. "They have driven customers home, delivered grocery items to elderly patients and provided care in their own time: just because they want to."
She said the pharmacy was proud to be part of the Oatley community which was a great place to live and raise a family. The business regularly supports local charity and school events and has been a sponsor of the Oatley Park Fun Run since its inception in 2008 as well as the Oatley Lions Festival.
