After 27 years in the area Penshurst Podiatry Centre is now treating the third generation of families who have become their loyal patients.
The practice started in a building just around the corner from where they are now in February 1992.
Owner Catherine Wiles said she saw the need for a podiatrist in the area after spending time working at St George Hospital.
"As a 22-year-old I was very excited and motivated and worked six days a week at first," Mrs Wiles said.
"My mum and dad used to help out with the front desk duties.
"To be honest I think my dad secretly handed out scratchies out the front to get people in the door!"
Mrs Wiles said as business increased she was able to hire more podiatrists.
There are now six experienced and qualified team members who are able to handle a wide range of foot-related issues, along with four knowledgeable reception staff
"My staff are very happy here and never leave," Mrs Wiles said. "Between us we have 145 years of experience."
The practice offers the full range of podiatry treatments.

"We deal with all sorts of foot problems from general care such as nail cutting, removal of corns and callouses, plantar warts and ingrown toenails, through to diabetic foot care and footwear advice," Mrs Wiles said.
"We also do biomechanical assessments where we diagnose problems caused by the way you walk and help you to improve your situation.
"And we are all very experienced with heel pain and Plantar Fasciitis issues."
The practice is able to offer custom-made orthotics.
"We are very aware of cost and also offer semi-custom orthotics," she said. "We also bulk bill for patients with a valid care plan."
Mrs Wiles said the St George area was a great community and her staff took pride in their reputation for outstanding service.
"We genuinely care about all of our patients. It is common for them to say how much they love coming to us as it's such a happy place."
