A Sydney bus driver accused of using his mobile phone behind the wheel has been ordered to stand trial over a crash in which two men died.
Luis Rojas, 49, has pleaded not guilty to two counts of dangerous driving causing the deaths of a scooter rider, 32, and his passenger, 44.
NSW Police previously said the food delivery workers were waiting to make a turn in Kingsgrove when they were caught in the crash involving the bus and another car in January.
In the Downing Centre Local Court on Thursday, deputy chief magistrate Michael Allen ordered Rojas to stand trial on the two charges in the NSW District Court.
He is due to be arraigned on November 22 when a trial date is likely to be set.
Rojas is also charged with two counts of negligent driving causing death, using a mobile phone when not permitted and not properly wearing a seatbelt.
