With their blue riband surfer Connor O'Leary away battling for his future in Hawaii, the 40th Elouera Boardriders Club club champion is also their youngest ever.
Red hot goofy footer Jarvis Earle, the Australian Champion and world class junior, took out Elouera's open and junior titles at the club's presentation on Saturday.
Rachel Mckendrick won the open women's title, Shae Lewis the junior girls, Jaya Wardana the micro groms and Sasha Lewis the micro girls.
Still a student at Cronulla High School, Jarvis has a big future in front of him and the club is proud to have provided the foundation for him to build his surfing future on.
In Hawaii, Jarvis's club mate O'Leary kept his season on line after he progressed to round four of the 10,000 point Hawaiian Pro at Haleiwa on the north shore in pumping waves.
O'Leary, who is eighth on the World Qualifying Series rankings, needs to maintain his position to re-qualify for the 2020 World Championship Tour- he surfs in heat number two against Aussies Wade Carmichael and Morgan Cibilic and South African David Van Zyl .
Small waves and strong winds have been the order of the day for Cronulla surfers this week.
Yesterdays howling hot northerly was replaced with a strong southerly during the night dropping the temp but not doing us many favors in the wave size and condition department.
The forecast shows this morning's 2 ft swell is no bigger then yesterday but the wind is slight and onshore-the good news is there is a 3-4 ft Nor east swell on its way on Thursday night ,Friday morning which will hang around all weekend giving us some waves but the winds are variable so hope for the early and keep your eyes open.
Young Aussie Isabella Nichols has clinched her first major World Surf League Qualifying Series win, taking out the 2019 Port Stephens Toyota Pro presented by Sisstrevolution QS6,000 at Birubi Beach on Sunday.
Nichols took down fellow Australian Macy Callaghan in the final where the two went toe-to-toe in clean three-to-four foot waves for the last WSL Women's QS event of the 2019 season.
After finishing runner-up in the first two QS6,000 events of the year, Nichols was placed in a solid position to qualify for the elite Championship Tour and locked in her spot with a few events to go in the season.
"Words can't even explain what I'm feeling right now," Nichols said. "I had a few second places already this year, which was great but to finally get a win, in the last contest, at the end of the year -- it feels unreal. Coming into this year I wanted to win a QS event which I've done now, but to win the entire series is so sick."

The accolade comes less than a week after the announcement that the 2020 Sydney Surf Pro will be the first WSL Challenger Series event next March. The 2019 Vissla Sydney Surf Pro delivered a world-class event over nine days on Manly Beach. The event crowned 10 champions across multiple divisions including Pro Junior, WSL Qualifying Series, local trials and other divisions.
