Alexander Baumjohann believes Sydney FC's home ground advantage at Kogarah could prove vital with the Sky Blues preparing to set up camp at Jubilee Stadium.
Sydney FC will play 10 of their 13 home games at Kogarah this season, their majority home ground as Moore Park's Allianz Stadium is redeveloped.
The club have an excellent record at Kogarah since adopting the historic venue as their major home ground last season.
Sydney FC play four of their fives games between rounds nine and 13 at home at Jubilee Stadium.
The Sky Blues, who beat Melbourne Victory in their first game at Jubilee this season in round six, host Robbie Fowler's Brisbane at Kogarah on Saturday night.
They then turn their attention to another important clash with Central Coast in round 10 before welcome Melbourne City and Adelaide United to the St George district either side of the new year.
And Baumjohann, who joined the Sky Blues from Sydney rivals Western Sydney Wanderers at the start of the season, said he hoped the club's fans would help the team continue to make Kogarah their own fortress in Sydney's south.
"I think the atmosphere at our home games has been amazing. Hopefully lots of fans will show up for the next games. This is what we need," he said.
"I think we need all the supporters behind us. Hopefully they can be our 12th man and we can perform even better than we have these last weeks."
Sydney FC climbed to the top of the A-League table after away wins over Perth and Western United.
And Baumjohann, a 32-year-old German midfielder, is looking for the Sky Blues to stay there.
"I think we've also played well on the road but especially at home. We've won all the games until now and we want to continue this," he said.
"We want to stay now on the top of the table until the season finishes."
