A teenager has been charged after a man died following an alleged fail to stop crash at Woronora last night.
Just before 11pm on Saturday, emergency services were called to Prince Edward Park Road after a 41-year-old man was found seriously injured on the side of the road.
Witnesses rendered aid to the man prior to the arrival of emergency services.
Officers from Sutherland Police Area Command and NSW Ambulance paramedics attended; however, the man could not be revived and died at the scene.
A crime scene was established and officers from the Crash Investigation Unit attended to conduct a forensic examination.
The driver of a Toyota Hilux utility, a 17-year-old male, was arrested after attending Sutherland Police Station just after midnight.
He was taken to hospital and underwent mandatory testing before being charged with fail to stop and assist after vehicle impact causing death.
The teen was granted conditional bail to appear at a children's court on Wednesday 5 February 2019.

A man has died in a suspected hit and run at Woronora overnight.
About 10.55pm on Saturday, emergency services were called to Prince Edward Park Road, near Thorp Road after a man aged in his 40s was located seriously injured on the side of the road.
Officers from Sutherland Shire Police Command attended and performed CPR on the injured man. Despite medical efforts, the man could not be revived and died at the scene.
"Inquiries suggest he had been struck by a white 4WD," a police spokesman said.
A crime scene was established at the location and officers from the Crash Investigation Unit will conduct a forensic examination.
As inquiries continue, anyone who witnessed the incident or has dash cam vision is urged to come forward.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
