We all know that Cronulla's beaches are among the best in the world but what other coastal gems are out there? About five years ago during a particularly hot summer, Canberra explorer Tim the Yowie Man set himself an ambitious quest to set foot on every beach between Sydney and the Victorian border. Here's what he discovered

Sure, the Yowie family has our favourite patrolled beaches like Mollymook and Broulee, but since declaring my quest, on every weekend or summer escape to the coast, we attempt to discover at least two "new" beaches - the only restriction is that they must be off the beaten track.
