About 60 University of Wollongong Southern Sydney students received their degrees at a graduation ceremony at Sutherland Entertainment Centre on Tuesday.
The campus, located at Loftus, has been operating since 2003 and offers Bachelor of Nursing, Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Business degrees.
"We have had over 1000 graduates across the board," said University of Wollongong Southern Sydney campus manager Melinda Tippett.
Ms Tippett said about 60 candidates received their degrees this week watched on by proud family and friends.
Among them were 10 graduates who achieved a Bachelor of Nursing with Distinction.
Faculty of Business student Isabelle Bogard was another high achiever, receiving a Bachelor of Commerce - Advanced Diploma of Events Management with Distinction.
"These results are well-earned recognition of the hard work and dedication shown by the students throughout the course of their studies," Ms Tippett said.
Ms Tippett said the Loftus campus was popular with students because it allowed them to remain close to home.
"As is usually the case, a large majority of the students attending the campus come from within St George and Sutherland Shire," she said
"Studying at the University of Wollongong Southern Sydney campus, Loftus, allowed the students to save money, continue in local employment and successfully juggle family and other commitments."
