Bayside Council's New Year's Eve spectacular firework display is expected to attract thousands of families to the Cook Park foreshore on Tuesday, December 31.
"This is a wonderful opportunity for families to welcome in the New Year," Bayside mayor Joe Awada said.
"It is an incredible firework display and I look forward to seeing you all there."
There is only one fireworks display at 9pm and people start arriving early to get the best vantage points.
The fireworks will be visible from many vantage points from Kyeemagh to Dolls Point. This year a new vantage point has been created at the Foreshore Road boat ramp.
This is a family friendly event. Alcohol and glass are not permitted. Residents and visitors bringing picnic baskets are reminded to use plastic containers.
Bayside Council encourages the use of public transport.
Parking will be limited with road closures in place around Brighton-le-Sands.
Residents, visitors are encouraged to celebrate safely and help keep the foreshore clean by taking their rubbish with them afterwards.
