Police are appealing for public assistance following an armed robbery in Hurstville on the weekend.
Police were told a 29-year-old man arranged to buy two mobile phones through an online trading website and was contacted by another man regarding the sale.
The men agreed to meet in the car park on Hudson Street, Hurstville, about 8pm on Sunday, January 12.
Police were told, when the 29-year-old man drove into the car park, an armed man approached and threatened him.
He then smashed the front driver's side window with the firearm before stealing cash from the vehicle.
The man suffered minor injuries.
Officers from St George Police Area Command were notified and commenced an investigation.
As inquiries continue, detectives urge any witnesses or anyone with dashcam vision in the area at the time to come forward.
