Update
A fundraising event organised by an Oyster Bay woman has raised more than $13,000 for bushfire recovery.
Amanda Toone organised the Rebuilding the Bush fundraiser at Tradies Gymea last Friday night, which was attended by about 120 people.
"The final figures raised were $13,812.10," Ms Toone said.
"Thanks to everyone who came to the event and donated.
"A special shout-out to those who volunteered their time to assist me with the planning ... and all the local businesses who donated all the wonderful prizes."
Ms Toone was able to secure sponsorship from TerryWhite Chemmart, Caringbah South, Trinity Accounting Practice, Kogarah, and Shane's Trees, Kareela, to cover the cost of venue hire and food so all proceeds could go to charity.
"100 per cent of the money raised will help communities affected by the bushfires," Ms Toone said.
Ms Toone chose to donate proceeds to Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal (FRRR), which strengthens rural, regional and remote communities by providing support to fatigued volunteer leaders, repairing vital community infrastructure, supporting the capacity of local not-for-profit organisations, or ensuring psychological support.

It's not too late to join the fun at Tradies Gymea tonight at a fundraiser to help rebuild bushfire-ravaged communities.
Oyster Bay woman Amanda Toone has organised the Rebuilding the Bush fundraiser tonight at Tradies Gymea from 6pm to 10pm.
"What's better than having fun with family and friends on a Friday night while you help other families rebuild their lives," Ms Toone said.
An event planner, Ms Toone said she decided to put her skills to use to raise money for the Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal (FRRR).
"The FRRR strengthens rural, regional and remote communities by providing support to fatigued volunteer leaders, repairing vital community infrastructure, supporting the capacity of local not-for-profit organisations, or ensuring psychological support," she said.
Three major sponsors - TerryWhite Chemmart, Caringbah South, Trinity Accounting Practice, Kogarah, and Shane's Trees, Kareela, have donated funds to cover the cost of venue hire and food so all proceeds can go to the FRRR.
Ms Toone said fantastic prizes would be on offer via auction and raffles, including 12-month gym memberships at F45 Training Sutherland and Plus Fitness 24/7 Kareela, and a $250 voucher for Zimzala Cronulla.
The family-friendly event also features entertainment by Got Soul Collective and Sophie Carter.
Tickets are $30 for adults and $5 for children (2-16). Children under two are free. Cost includes valet parking, canapes, a welcome drink and lucky door prize ticket. Children will receive a light meal and soft drink.
