The Southern Dingoes play footy for fun, against other like-minded 35yr+ men, and also compete in the greater Sydney AFL Masters competition which sometimes gets a bit more serious than a typical Masters comp.
The Southern Dingoes are solely a 35 plus years Masters AFL club and are the only NSW Masters AFL Club competing in Southern Sydney.
Dingoes are found in all habitat types so the Southern Dingoes are re-branding ahead of the 2020 season so they can incorporate all of Southern Sydney in their development footprint.
Club president Matt Crowe said the club is involved in various games and activities, and suitable for all walks of life and wants to expand from its initial focus of being very Shire centric.
"We know there are a lot of footballers living in Southern Sydney-not just the Shire, and our new focus will be on bringing these older men back into AFL," Crowe said
"As a member of Southern Dingoes, you are welcomed into a mate-ship that has made the 'old', feel young at heart. We welcome everyone to come for a run at training, or come to a friendly game and pull on a jumper."
Each game has a $10 fee to cover costs, with your first game free, and some of the best membership options available with a Full Membership only $275 which includes all insurance, fees and full-on and off-field uniforms.
Training is on Wednesday nights from 6.45pm at Gwawley Oval in Taren Point. No experience or intention to play is required. The club wants to look at themselves as an opportunity for men to work on their mental health by exercising and socialising.
