The Brass Monkeys, who swim at sunrise each day at Shelly Beach ocean pool, celebrated Australia Day in style.
After doing their laps on the Monday public holiday, about 50 members joined in a breakfast barbecue and singalong led by piper Dave Dillon, a club member.
"Dave had us singing the National Anthem to pipe music as well as other Australian classics, Waltzing Matilda, I still Call Australia Home, I am You are we are Australians and a medley of other Aussie classics," said club president Bruce Heyward.
They were disappointed Elsie McNaughton, who is 102 and frail, couldn't make it this year.
Queen Elsie or the Queen of Hearts, as she is known, is a foundation member of the club, which was formed in 1968.
